About us

ABR provide a range of refined “metal on” processes for the purpose of tool repair, rectification of machining errors and tooling modifications.
ABR also offer a research and development welding service for new product development. This service encompasses prototype and trial batch welding. Larger volume production work is also undertaken.
These services were initially offered through high quality TIG and micro welding prior to the launch of ABR’s precision laser welding service in the year 2000. Laser technology now enables ABR to carry out very precise welding procedures with minimal heat input.
The widespread adoption of laser welding by UK industry has led to ABR’s expansion in this specialist field. ABR now run seven laser welding systems in order to maintain an unrivalled speed of service. Industries served include automotive, aerospace, medical, energy, electronics, instrumentation and firearms.
All ABR’s services are supplied in accordance with ISO 9001 – 2015. Maximum handling capacity is 8 ton.
