There is a wide range of polythene products that we are able to manufacture and supply at Abbey Polythene, from bags and sacks to tubing, sleeves, sheeting and cut sheets, with many different applications. Bags and sheets can be supplied loose or perforated on a roll or core. We can also supply shaped and hand-made bags for very specialised uses.
Our polythene products can be made from virgin grade, BRC approved food grade, recycled or degradable film. They can be manufactured from light duty polythene up to extra heavy duty in a very wide range of sizes. The film can be clear, coloured or tinted, and most products can have a fixed or random print on one or both sides, in up to three colours. We can also help with the design of your print if required. We can also supply a range of compostable bags that conform to DIN EN 13432. These are particularly useful for food waste.
Different additives can be added to our polythene products to enable them to be used for a range of specialist applications such as anti-static for printed circuit boards, scented, low slip, high slip, high strength, fire retardant, EVA for freezer use low melt for the rubber industry, UV stabiliser to protect the polythene and goods from damage from sunlight, or volatile corrosive inhibitor that protects against rust. We can also add punched holes or micro perforations if you need to allow air to escape or the product inside to breathe. We also supply lipped bags with a permanent seal strip.
