We wanted a canopy installed to improve access to the outside for our Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils. They are supposed to be able to play outside often and that area is very exposed, as well as battered by North Cornish rain. Thanks to our new covered outdoor learning area, our children have been enjoying a wealth of activities such as role play, (currently a café), learning activities such as phonics and number work, free play, sand and water and much more. The canopy has changed the whole view of the building and brought it into the 21st Century (itis on the oldest part of the school). It looks modern and welcoming. The service was excellent - it was installed during school time but with minimal disruption and no mess.
Everything about Able is so professional but also so personal. From the first contact to them by email to the installation was so easy - absolutely no hassle. Chantelle was always very approachable and helpful. Robin did a wonderful job by not only measuring but also drawing out the dimensions with chalk which made it much more visual. The fitters Steven and Shane made such a good job. Our block paving was removed and replaced with less mess. The site was cleaned thoroughly we are really impressed. Thank you so much.
Communication has been good throughout the construction. Work has all been kept to time and all school site and equipment has been respected throughout. Team has been flexible when working around our children and their needs. We are very happy with the project.
Able Canopies installed three wet weather shelters/canopies at our Nursery School in Willesden many years ago, and we were very impressed with their workmanship and professionalism at that time, so when the need arose for a canopy at the Main Entrance of our other Nursery School in Stonebridge, they were the first company I approached for a quote. From the first meeting, Able impressed both myself and our Architect with their knowledge of working in Schools, and the need to work around the needs of our children and parents. As a Capital Project, we needed to source at least three quotes from various companies, and choose the most competitive, that also met the specification, and could complete the project within a tight timeframe. Able Canopies were successful in this, largely due to the fact that they visited site at least twice prior to submitting their quote, took very careful measurements of the area, and produced detailed calculations and drawings for the Planning Dept. Once on site, the installers themselves were professional, friendly, and extremely tidy, taking care to ensure that the work area was suitable for Premises Staff to enter and leave the building safely. We are absolutely delighted with our new canopy - it has been done so carefully, that it looks like it is part of the original building - our Nursery in Stonebridge is an iconic building, that has won various awards, including the RlBA award for architecture, so the canopy installed had to add to the overall look of the building, and not 'stick out like a sore thumb'. I would recommend Able Canopies to any school or business, and while they will not necessarily provide the cheapest quote, they will definitely provide an end product that exceeds your expectations.
