Our Splicers can be used during filament winding and Pultrusion, they make smooth strong joints between threads, cutting costs in all textile processes. As manufacturers of tough and reliable Splicers for a number of years our research has now led to the introduction of a new range of world leading products manufactured specifically for the composite industry to make joints in difficult yarns such as carbon, glass, panox and acrylic. Our new products like Carbon Fibre Splicers can now join these new fibres with ease and enable composite manufacturers to reduce their waste levels.

The manufacturing of composites is expensive, waste is costly and machine down-time is highly disruptive. Our new Yarn Splicers reduce this waste at all stages enabling manufacturers to benefit from huge savings on both materials and time.

Airbond manufacture Yarn Splicers of a unique form and function, all of which are specially developed for use in the production of composite materials for the Aerospace and Automotive industries along with various other industrial applications such as wind turbine blades.

The greatest benefit is in making splices connecting bobbin to bobbin ensuring continuity of the production process so there is no need to stop production when bobbins run out, or when the fabric specifications need altering.

Fibres such as glass and carbon are extremely difficult to splice, however at Airbond we have established a world lead by developing a new range of Splicers.
