Over the course of five decades, Autoflame has evolved from a regional service provider into a world-class internationally recognised organisation.
Built upon a solid foundation of boiler house expertise, Autoflame is today the global market leader in combustion management solutions.
Originally founded in the late ’60s by Brendan Kemp specialising in oil and gas firing, operating from Railway Arch 109, Astbury Road, Southeast London. Officially incorporated in 1972. Autoflame soon became the largest distributor in Europe for Ray Burners. Providing turnkey installations and after-sales service and support. With a reputation for high-quality work and exceptional knowledge of boiler plant, clients across London and England turned to Autoflame to take care of their boiler service needs.
In the early 80s, Brendan identified the need for more accurate and reliable control of burners. This became the catalyst for the very first electronic fuel-air ratio control. Known as the Micro Modulation system. This system has gone on to revolutionize the way that burners operate, evolving to include Exhaust gas analysis, Data monitoring, water level control, Flue gas recirculation management and many more unique features.
With over 20,000 systems currently in operation globally, Autoflame burner controls are now specified as standard equipment in the boiler rooms of some of the world’s most prestigious organizations. Autoflame has partnerships with more than 100 technology centres worldwide, providing local engineering, installation and support for Autoflame systems. These centres have been thoroughly vetted for quality and reliability, and they receive regular training to ensure they are up to date with the latest innovations. Whether developing advanced burner control systems, providing service and commissioning support, or upgrading existing plant with retrofit packages, we are committed to delivering high-quality, innovative and effective solutions for our clients virtually anywhere in the world.
Autoflame currently has forty five worldwide patents on products designed and manufactured in-house and is the proud holder of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the categories of Export Achievement (1996), Environment (1997) and Innovation (2007, 2022). The company has seen impressive growth and continues to build upon its comprehensive portfolio of products.
