Chris served 30 years in the police and immediately following his retirement in September 2009, began a degree in Product Design. Although this may seem a huge change of direction, Chris sees his police service as 30 years of problem solving. In addition, between 2004-6, whilst working long hours primarily on murder investigations, he attained an Open University Diploma in Design & Innovation, receiving a Distinction in Innovation. Having enjoyed the OU course so much, it made choosing the product design degree easier. The three years of study also included Marketing and Business Innovation.
