Infinite Renewables is dedicated to expediting the shift towards low carbon energy systems. Our efforts signify a significant advancement in the decentralised dissemination of renewable and low carbon energy. By adopting a flexible approach, we enable our customers to enjoy the advantages of cost-effective and dependable green energy.
A Specialist Renewable Energy Developer
Established in 2010, Infinite emerged as a dedicated developer of renewable energy, focusing on creating wind power projects for commercial clients. Over the years, we have successfully implemented numerous commercial wind turbines and large-scale Solar PV initiatives throughout the United Kingdom. Currently, we are at the forefront of innovation, pioneering the development of multi-technology renewable energy centers. These centers aim to supply secure, dependable, and cost-effective sustainable energy directly to business communities.
We have established multiple commercial collaborations aimed at incorporating renewable technologies into commercial and industrial environments.
One of our notable wind initiatives is the daffodil-styled wind turbine with a capacity of 850kW. It is designed to meet up to 10% of the energy needs of the Royal Mint's facility located in Llantrisant, South Wales. In the future, this project will become a crucial component of the Generation Storage Consumption Supply (GSCS) initiative.
Under the same project, Infinite has successfully implemented a rooftop solar system with a capacity of 1MWh at GS Yuasa's factory located in the Rassau Industrial Estate in Ebbw Vale. This installation marks the completion of the initial phase of our energy centre. Additionally, we have obtained the necessary authorisation to construct a wind turbine that will directly supply electricity to the industrial estate. Furthermore, there is an on-site battery storage system in place to enhance energy storage capabilities.
Our Renewable Energy Projects Include:
Battery
Batteries play a crucial role in converting renewable generation into dispatchable energy, making them indispensable for the future of energy storage and energy storage systems (ESS). They are vital components in the design and functioning of renewable micro-grids, enabling reliable and efficient utilisation of renewable energy sources.
CHP (Combined Heat & Power)
By integrating the production of electricity and heat into a single process, businesses can generate their own electricity and steam without solely depending on the main grid. This approach enables businesses to enhance their energy independence and self-sufficiency while reducing reliance on external power sources.
Solar PV
Solar PV modules, known for their low maintenance requirements and high reliability, have the potential to significantly reduce electricity bills and decrease carbon footprints. By harnessing solar energy, these modules offer an environmentally friendly solution that not only helps in cost savings but also contributes to a greener and more sustainable future.
Wind
Wind energy serves as a clean alternative to electricity generated from fossil fuel power stations. It is a non-polluting energy source that significantly reduces carbon emissions. Unlike fossil fuels, wind energy generation does not produce any waste during its operation, making it environmentally friendly and sustainable. By harnessing the power of the wind, we can contribute to a greener energy mix and mitigate the negative impacts of traditional power generation on the environment.
Energy Centres
Infinite's Energy Centres combine local energy generation, energy storage, and smart metering within a micro-grid framework. Tailored to the specific energy needs and location of each site, these Energy Centres draw power from various generation technologies such as wind turbines, solar photovoltaics (installed on the ground or rooftops), combined heat and power units, and incorporate battery storage. Through private networks, Infinite's Energy Centres produce and distribute heat and power, offering a ground-breaking and inventive solution for commercial and industrial energy consumers.
Capabilities
Infinite's expertise in comprehending emerging renewable technologies, such as wind, solar, battery storage, and combined heat and power (CHP), extends across various sectors, encompassing manufacturing, food and beverage, and leisure industries.
We possess the knowledge and expertise to effectively operate renewable energy systems, and we provide guidance on the expected outcomes and benefits that can be achieved.
In addition to owning and overseeing a portfolio of 12 wind turbines located throughout the UK, our local Energy Centre model showcases our capacity for creativity and innovation. The business case primarily revolves around securing "anchor" tenants within each industrial estate, who serve as the foundational load for the business model.
Once the initial core centre is established, the energy centre has the potential to expand across the entire estate, interconnecting tenants and supporting them in achieving their objectives of becoming net carbon zero.
Through strong collaborative efforts with our partners, Infinite is actively addressing the demands and opportunities presented by renewable technology in the 21st century.
