A colourful covering for architectural metalwork A powder coated finish provides a low maintenance, long lasting, colourful covering for architectural metalwork, fencing, gates and any other steel fabrication. As specialists in steel architectural metalwork where high quality finishing is critical, we can produce any specified colour or texture for any size or type of project, be it for a raw steel substrate in an interior or a galvanized substrate for an exterior. The successful application of powder coating to galvanised substrates demands far more than expertise in powder coating processes alone. An exact understanding of galvanizing and a meticulously controlled pre-treatment system compatible with both the galvanized finish and the powder coating is required to provide a satisfactory conversion coating. At Joseph Ash Galvanizing, we offer all these capabilities. As well as a detailed knowledge of galvanizing and powder coatings, we have the rigorously controlled conditions needed to ensure our powder coated finishes surpass all today’s benchmarks for quality. Founded in 1857, Joseph Ash can now be found in 9 locations across the UK, operating from Bilston, Bridgend, Chesterfield, Corby, Hull, Medway, Telford, Walsall & Widnes.

All galvanising at Joseph Ash Plants is compliant with BS EN ISO 1461:2009 and BS EN ISO 9000 quality standards.

Our Medway plant is England has been granted as the only steel finisher in England by Akzo Nobel for one stop shop services. We are also the only approved paint applicator by Akzo Nobel and IGP.
