Hearing Induction Loops including PA sound systems, Infrared Hearing Support, portable systems & radio frequency sound systems
One of our market leading products is the Microloop Hearing Induction Loop System. This system aids the hard of hearing, making conversations with hearing aid wearers (whether customers or staff) easier and more relaxed. Available in either a self installable Fixed Counter version for reception desks and payment points or a Portable Version for one to one meetings. In addition we design and install Room Induction loop systems which are specifically designed to aid the hard of hearing in rooms, such as conference and function rooms, meeting halls and churches to name a few and are a legal requirement under the DDA.
Paging Systems & Fire Deaf Alerting Systems
Our pager alerter system is a radio-based fire alarm warning and messaging system for the deaf and hard of hearing. It solves the problem that they cannot hear audible alarm or public address systems when there is a fire emergency. Being portable, the alerter can be carried anywhere within a building and with the strong vibrating pattern can even placed under a pillow when installed in hotel premises.
Wireless Refuge Communication Systems
Our wireless refuge communication system is a cost effective retro fit solution for existing buildings that are now required to provide a disabled refuge point or points. Removing the need to “hard wire” in fire resistant cable, the installation (which is British Standard compliant) can be installed in a matter of days NOT weeks.
Wheelchair Lifts
KTP ensures that every wheelchair user and or walking-impaired individual can overcome level differences in the building. Our wheelchair lift is the most space-saving lift available on the market. Replacing standard steps, it converts to a wheelchair lift at the touch of a button and then reverts back to step mode when the lift is not required, allowing users to access all areas in the building when space is limited.
Evacuation Chairs & Stair Climbers
ChairMate® from KTP is the first non motorised fire evacuation chair device that allows wheelchair users to be safely evacuated from the building in their own wheelchair. ChairMate connects to most standard non motorised wheelchairs and can be used with an optional transit wheelchair to convert to a standard type of evacuation chair, thereby providing a total evacuation solution.
Accessible Toilet & Emergency Alarms
We supply and install wired and wireless bedroom and toilet alarm systems for accessible toilets and bedrooms. Again by using a wireless solution, considerable cost savings can be made when retro fitting large and multi story buildings.
