Compression Springs
Leeming & Peel Compression Springs can be made using a wide variety of materials including Commercial Wire (BS5216 HS3), Stainless, Bronze, Chrome, Inconel 600, Inconel X750 & Nimonic 90. Material test certificates & certificates of conformity can be provided at your request. Leeming & Peel can also provide a full CAD design service for development work. Leeming & Peel offer tension springs in many different end types such as Full Loop, Enlarged DIA & Extended Hook End. We hold a range of stock from Birtley & Henderson Garage Door Springs. Flat Springs
The Leeming & Peel range of flat springs are an ideal solution when there is restricted space. The flat spring is based on a flat strip of material that when deflected by an external load store and release energy. We offer a range of carbon flat springs, stainless flat springs and more.
Torsion Springs
The torsion spring is a simple helical coil that has legs coming off the body designed to create resistance. When force is applied to the ‘legs’ the coil becomes tight, decreasing the inside of the coil. Some of our torsion springs include alloy torsion springs, bespoke torsion springs, carbon torsion springs, double torsion springs, inconel torsion springs, large torsion springs, small torsion springs and stainless torsion springs among others.
Wireforms
Wireforms by Leeming & Peel are manufactured from spring wire and help solve the most difficult design issues. Some of these products include stainless wireforms, carbon wireforms, alloy wireforms and more.
Garter Springs
Similar to the tension spring, garter springs has the ends fastened together to form a complete circle. The garter spring can be fastened together either by a hook one end and a loop on the other by forming custom made inserts. It is an ideal solution for objects such as seals, motors and connectors. Whether our clients are looking for alloy garter springs, bespoke garter springs, carbon garter springs, inconel garter springs, large garter springs, small garter springs or stainless garter springs, we at Leeming & Peel have a variety of options.
Circlips & Snap Rings
The circlip is a semi-flexible metal ring with open ends which can be snapped in to place and is designed to prevent lateral movement whilst allowing rotation. Generally the circlips are used externally by fitting over a shaft and inserting into a machined groove or internally and fitted inside a bore. Along with our hooked springs, conical springs, custom springs, small springs, large springs, stainless springs and wireforms, we offer numerous circlips and snap rings that are utilised across a variety of applications.
Finishes & Coatings
All springs manufactured in carbon can be plated in a range of finishes including zinc, chrome, gold, chemical black, galvanized, powder coated or painted.
