About us

Established in 1976 Martor is a leading supplier of industrial safety knives delivering practical safer cutting solutions throughout the UK and Ireland. Our safety knives and blades offer the most appropriate effective and efficient cutting, designed specifically for the task. Used in many industries, the Martor range of knives and blades reduces cutting accidents with a safer cutting experience. Part of that experience can be on-site training by one of our specialist team members.

There are over 200 safety knives in the Martor range, with many more options available by choosing from alternative knife and blade combinations. Extra safety is achieved mainly through design features that are built into the knives. These safety features fall into three principle categories, cutters with concealed blades, cutters with Martor’s patented fully automatically blade retraction, and cutters with spring loaded blade retraction.
