About us

Mertech Ltd manufacture a complete range of switchgear. From wall mounted distribution boards all the way up to 65kA fault rated systems. UVA and CVA and Design Centre switchboards and MCC's with busbars up to 6300 Amps. UVA and CVA boards comply with IEC 61439 part 2 where appropriate. We have our own ISO 9000: 2010 quality system and ASTA certificate, to ensure our customers that a Mertech panel will comply with any specification their clients may request. 

We have been manufacturing switchgear in Luton for over 40 years and our engineers have worked on projects from emergency switchboards for BP oil rigs to all the LV panels and Motor Control Centres in the Malta power Station. Our panels are installed world wide, we are a preferred supplier of switchgear and control panels to Mitsubishi and our synchronising panels are used throughout the middle east by Caterpillar. We are also approved system builders for Schneider.

Auto Transfer Switches IEC 60947-6-1

The Mertech Automatic Transfer Switches and Life Safety Automatic Transfer Switches are the ideal solution for transferring power from the Mains to a Standby supply or from Network to Network supplies.

With Mains and Standby monitoring and full electrical and mechanical interlocking you can be confident of switching supply under fault conditions at any time. And with sizes from 45 Amps up to 3200 Amps we can pretty much cover the requirements of all your likely projects.

With full conformity to the latest IEC 60947-6-1 you can confidently specify the Mertech range of Automatic Transfer Switches.
