Maxell has a long history of “clean” manufacturing having produced magnetic recording media at our Telford factory for more than 22 years. All persons entering the production areas are required to wear gowns, shoe covers and hats to minimise the levels of dust contamination from outside.
In addition to this, we have up to "Class 8" 405m2 clean room facilities in which pharmaceutical and food handling products are produced and packed.
Maxell Moulding Services is fully conversant with the strict biological standards of these industries and regular bio-burden tests are carried out on site to ensure that these standards are maintained.
Our services within these areas include moulding, assembly and sterile wash & pack. Products requiring additional (gamma) irradiation and/or (ETO) sterilisation are forwarded to the appropriate external specialist agencies.
