ABOUT US
Since the age of 18, the owner Nathan Hordern has been involved in the bearings & power transmission industry. Starting his apprenticeship as a delivery driver he quickly worked his way up the ranks to a sales engineer working for a National MRO company. He was then headhunted by a couple of other national MRO companies. His main customers moved from company to company with him due to his knowledge, service and personal approach to the way he does business.

These national MRO companies provided the training and product knowledge but lacked the customer service focus. This was noted by his customers who kept pestering Nathan to set up on his own company. Eventually, he took the hint and bit the bullet and started up “Motion Industrial Products Ltd”. The business started operating in 2009 from a shed in his garden and he was the only employee; taking orders, doing the deliveries, accounts, even having to make his own coffee!

The business has continued to grow and we have moved premises twice, we now have a fleet of vehicles and large local stockholding. We have still got the same existing customers that we served from the start. Along the way, we have also picked up some big well-known household names.

Our mission statement is – To be the “Go to Supplier” of engineering components to industrial manufacturing & process plants throughout the UK.
