Pneumatic Components Ltd (PCL) was founded in 1938 when the first tyre pressure gauges were designed and manufactured in Sheffield.

By the mid-forties the first quick release air line couplings and adaptors were produced; becoming affectionately known as PCL's.  As air distribution in the workplace became an important part of modern engineering industry, PCL developed a variety of sophisticated products to meet customer demands.

Today, PCL's products are a familiar sight in garage forecourts, tyreshops and engineering shops throughout the world, and PCL continues to expand globally, providing first-class, reliable and cost effective products for tyre inflation and pneumatics, with localised service in any location.

With over 70 years of design excellence, PCL has become a world-leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of tyre inflation equipment, air distribution and air line technology.

Yet PCL maintains a firm commitment to its roots, still manufacturing from its production facility in Sheffield, the cradle of engineering excellence. The modern factory occupies over 12,000m² and utilises the very latest production equipment, operated by a highly skilled workforce. PCL is proud to display the city's prestigious Mark of quality and excellence on its "Made in Sheffield" products.
