About us

We are a Fire Engineering consultancy with over 35 years experience of Fire Protection and Materials Testing as well. Using Fire Engineering enables us, when working closely with the Architect and Structural Engineer, to circumvent some of the more onerous and prescriptive guidance contained within Building Regulations. Buildings can be "over" as well as "under" designed and one example of this was when a national Food chain asked our engineers for advice regarding their existing report. We eliminated the Smoke Control System as well as Fire Resistant Glazing and Fire Shutters that had been specified - this saved the client a staggering £820,000. Also inspect fire damaged buildings and report on whether steel can be retained rather than being demolished, this can result in tremendous cost savings for the client as having to replace the steel members can be a very costly exercise. We also carry out Fire Risk Assessments and some of our clients range from Local Authorities to Universities and Retailers amongst others. Third Party accreditation is also carried out by our engineers and again we have worked for a number of Local Authorities in matters covering Fire Engineering.
