This complex project required a unique, robust solution and after researching available materials we identified that Lexan Opal would be the most suitable polycarbonate for the letter faces.

Lexan has all the properties required for the job in hand, including strength, a brighter white colour when illuminated and excellent diffusion, eliminating hot spots. It is virtually unbreakable and designed to withstand high winds and weather extremes; making it an ideal solution for this high rise building.

We used cutting edge LED technology to illuminate the letters which were finely balanced and tuned in order to be subtle enough in twilight hours but not too dazzling when viewed in darkness. At the same time we worked closely with authorities following E.U. and British guidelines.

The sign design concept needed to surmount weight restrictions on both installations and final location, all the while maintaining the structural strength to withstand the excessive high level winds and the rigours of the English weather.
