The Potteries Die Co Ltd was formed as a precision engineering company in 1936 to provide a “bespoke” service to the then highly successful United Kingdom ceramics industry. Situated in Norton on the borders of Stoke on Trent it established a reputation within that industry for innovative design and a quality of workmanship that was second to none. Specialising in the manufacture of moulds and press-tool equipment, this led to involvement world-wide with companies making refractories, bricks, wall, floor and roof tiles, industrial ceramics and kiln furniture. The company still undertakes a significant amount of work for the ceramic industry including more recently specialised dies associated with advanced ceramics. However the proven ability to manufacture virtually any engineered item, using the talents and skills of its toolmakers and machinists has resulted in new partnerships being formed with customers from a wide range of UK industry.
Certified to BS EN ISO9001 since 1994, the company offers a complete and comprehensive solution for the production of precision press-tools and associated equipment

After more than three quarters of a century of continuous trading, the company (now a wholly owned part of pdc precision engineers) is a toolmaker for all industries, with a level of expertise developed from such a long experience of precision engineering.
