Product Information

VEGAPULS Air

Stockcode:

Autonomous radar sensors deliver digital measured values – anywhere and at any time.

The sensors of the VEGAPULS Air series are the right solution for almost all autonomous level measurements of bulk solids and liquids – whether in plastic containers, IBC containers, mobile silos, process vessels or tanks. The protection classes of the housings ensure continuous, maintenance-free operation, even outdoors.

VEGAPULS Air sensors operate wirelessly and are powered by a battery. This means they can be put into operation immediately after simple installation. Thanks to their wide range of possible applications, the autonomous radar sensors can be used in cities and various areas of industry, such as logistics, production or agriculture, to optimise processes.

About us

VEGA Controls specialises in level sensors, pressure transmitters, and point level switches. We are a world-leading manufacturer of advanced instrumentation technologies and solutions for measuring and controlling liquids, solids, and gases.

Our approval portfolio includes certifications for ATEX, marine, mining, NACE, NORSOK, hygienic and environmental standards, as well as SIL IEC61508/11 up to levels 2 and 3, and EMPHASIS-assessed devices for the nuclear power industry.

Our Products Include:

Continuous Level Measurement with Level Sensors

In continuous level measurement, various methods are used to detect the level of a medium in a tank or silo, converting it into an electronic signal. This signal can be displayed on-site or integrated into a process control or management system.

Level Switches for Point Level Measurement & Measuring Techniques
In point level detection, a switch identifies when a predefined level is reached, unlike continuous level measurement which tracks all intermediate levels. These devices are used to start or stop filling equipment like conveyors or pumps and can output a binary signal for integration into a process control system. Point level detection is applicable to liquids, pastes, powders, or coarse bulk solids.

Measuring Principles for Pressure Measurement
Pressure measurement techniques can be utilised to measure process pressure, differential pressure, as well as level, volume, density, or mass flow in various areas of process technology. Pressure transmitters cover a wide range, from a few mbar to extreme pressures up to 1,000 bar, using different types of measuring cells.

Measuring Method for Interface Measurement
Interfaces, or boundaries between separation layers, are common in the process industry, such as in the chemical and oil & gas sectors. These occur when two media with different densities, like water and oil, are in a container. Identifying the transition point between these media is essential for separation. VEGA sensors are capable of reliably measuring both the total level and the interface.

Measuring Techniques for Density Measurement
Density measurement is used to determine the proportion of solid matter in a liquid. Common applications in the process industry include measuring acid and lye concentrations, the density of abrasive or sticky liquid mixtures, and the solid content in sludges and slurries.

… And more.

VEGA offers users peace of mind with direct, expert advice on level and pressure solutions, along with reliable after-sales service. All VEGA products come with a 3-year warranty, reflecting their quality, innovative design, and extensive experience.
