Let in the Light
25 April 2008
Available from Twinfix are a range of rooflights glazed with 16mm or 25mm lightweight, energy saving multiwall polycarbonate.
The 25mm clear has a K-value of 1.5 W/m²°K, making it the ideal roof glazing product, conforming to the requirements of Document L. Multiwall polycarbonate is the supreme roof glazing medium as it is light in weight yet is incredibly robust. It lets in high levels of natural light. It helps to keep out the cold and retains the warmth inside buildings overnight. By fitting it in premises that are used 24/7 owners can achieve excellent savings in their energy bills.
White and brown frames, manufactured from powder coated aluminium for a maintenance-free life, are available as standard on all systems, with RAL colours to special order. The multiwall glazing is available in a range of different tints and colours, final selection depending upon which direction the rooflights face.
There is a Twinfix rooflight system to suit the majority of applications. The most popular is the Multi-Link-Panel. With its patented fix and link installation method, these modular panels are often specified because they are incredibly quick to install. On refurbishment projects this means that disruption in premises is kept to a minimum.
The Multi-Link-Panel is also available in a Non-Fragile version that conforms to the Health and Safety Executive’s recommendations for Safe Roofing.
