Dalen Ltd expand their comprehensive range of phoenix data & fire protection safes
Dalen limited introduces their new extended range of fire and data safes, all of which are designed to protect vital computer data and paper records.
The Data Protection Act 1998 states that, personal data needs to be kept secured with appropriate technical and organisational measures taken to protect the information. To help address this issue Dalen Limited is affiliated with the
Fire Statistics released by Communities and Local Government state that in 2006/07 there was over 87,000 building fires in the UK, of which 32,500 included commercial premises, schools etc. With this in mind it is extremely important that essential data and paper documents are not damaged or destroyed during and after the fire, as this can involve a lot of time and money on retrieving imperative information or even result in going out of business.
With three different types of safes available i.e. protection of paper record, computer data and cash and jewellery, each fire resistant model is independently tested to a European or American test standard. During the test the safe is placed in a furnace for up to 120 minutes where the temperature rises rapidly up to 1200ºC. The internal temperature when taken out must not exceed 177ºC for paper and 52ºC for data.
For higher security requirements, the majority of safes can be fitted with either an electronic or fingerprint locking system and can be fixed to the floor. All fire safes come with a free lifetime `after the fire` replacement warranty and a full two year materials and labour warranty.
