Meet the perfect cutting system

08 August 2008

It looks good, it cuts great.

STM will be unveiling the new remote controlled ‘RoboFlail one’, manufactured and developed by Niko in conjunction with our German dealer KommTek for the first time at Saltex this year.  This track machine is hydraulically driven, giving it total zero-turn which is ideal for bank, being zero-turn also ensures damage to turf is minimal.  Its low centre of gravity and floating rubber tracks provide good stability and manoeuvrability at very steep angles, which enables the RoboFlail to work on banks of up to 55° angles in complete safety, and in all weathers, with no risk to the operator or machine.

The Roboflail has been designed to accept three different cutting systems, the Humus safety deck, the ESM Verti flail and the SCAG rotary deck.  This enables the RoboFlail to cut in the worst conditions and also in parkland for a finer finish with the SCAG rotary head.

A 25hp Kawasaki engine provides excellent power and performance, helping the unit to reach speeds of 10 kph [6 mph] and capable of cutting up to 5000 m2/h.

Tests have shown the RoboFlail’s cutting capabilities, sturdy design and easy to use remote control [user can operate the machine at a distance of up to 300m] have made it ideal for areas such as roads and highway maintenance, military bases, parklands and estate work.
