Business Partnership is a Sweeping Success

A leading forklift attachment firm is celebrating success after providing one of its long-standing customers with a time-saving alternative to manual handling.
Mid Wales-based Contact Attachments has supplied its innovative Forklift Broom Sweeper to Stone Tech (Cleveland) Ltd Conserv lime mortars, to help the restoration firm solve the time-consuming task of clearing up spillages and debris at its site in Middlesbrough. Colin Yates, Managing Director at Stone Tech (Cleveland) Ltd, explained: “We manufacture and produce vast volumes of lime mortar under our Conserv brand, which incorporates materials such as sand, so it’s really important for us to keep our large tarmacked yard clear and free from any spillages, to prevent any accidents happening. We’ve purchased equipment from Contact Attachments in the past and were very intrigued when we heard about the Forklift Broom Sweeper, especially because it could relieve manpower and save valuable time.
Within just one hour of its delivery, the broom came into great use following a large lime spillage in the yard which needed cleaning up as soon as possible. It performed perfectly and swept away any debris with just one pass, so we were absolutely thrilled.”
Stone Tech (Cleveland) Ltd, supplies its lime mortars, renders and plasters to clients UK and internationally, for the restoration of many famous buildings including the Pyramid of Djoser in Egypt, the planet’s oldest manmade structure.
Stone Tech (Cleveland) Ltd is ISO9001, OHSAS18001 and currently undergoing 1SO14001 environmental accreditation, so cleanliness and safety are paramount.

Contact Attachment’s Forklift Broom Sweeper comes in various widths and has eight rows of replaceable polypropylene bristles and heavy duty steel shrouds, and can be utilised to address a diverse range of sweeping issues such as snow.
