We were delighted to be involved with the ‘Just Retirement Garden’ at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show this year. The garden was designed by 21-year-old Jack Dunckley, owner of Birchfield Nursery in Henfield, West Sussex.
The ‘Just Retirement Garden’ was the largest at Hampton Court and included a resin bound porous pathway from Addagrip – which was installed by one of our approved contractors, True Grip.The garden took its inspiration from the progression to retirement and included plants sourced from Italy to accompany those grown at Jack’s own nursery.
Excitingly, Jack’s garden won a Silver Gilt award, John Inverdale and Linda Barker shared in the joy of Jack receiving the certificate, together with Steve Clark from Chilstone, supplier of the stone arches. Congratulations Jack!
Heritage at Lewes Castle
Addagrip approved contractor True Grip have previously installed resin bonded Addastone to the pathways at Lewes Castle in East Sussex, so were delighted to be asked back to carry out the installation of Addastone to The Maltings car park for main contractor, Cornerstone.
The site posed a challenge - with restricted access and daily use by the public visiting the 1000 year old Norman castle - the 1,111sqm resin bonded installation had to be completed within a two day period. A Footgrade Chinese Bauxite aggregate was selected for its hard wearing properties, which succeeded in transforming the parking area with a durable, aesthetically pleasing surface whilst being sympathetic to the castle heritage.
