First International Symposium on Advanced Photonics held in Hamamatsu City, Japan
04 May 2016
Hamamatsu, Japan, April 2016 – The Research Foundation for Opto-Science and Technology hosted the 1st International Symposium on Advanced Photonics on the 13th – 14th April 2016, as part of Hamamatsu City’s continuing effort to distinguish itself as a preeminent photonics city.
Leading experts were invited to lecture on the symposium’s theme of the science and technology of quantum many-body systems. The symposium took place at the Hotel Kokonoe at Kanzanji Onsen in Hamamatsu City.
The Research Foundation for Opto-Science and Technology, founded in 1988, is supported mainly by Hamamatsu Photonics K.K., one of the four main parties who took part in the Photonics Declaration in Hamamatsu for establishing Hamamatsu as a preeminent photonics city in 2013.
