New regs will require all control panels within domestic premises to be built of a non-combustible material
26 May 2016
On 1st July this year new regulations will come in force that require consumer units and similar switchgear assemblies in domestic premises to have a non-combustible enclosure.
This means to you that any control panel for a swimming pool that is located within domestic (household) premises either needs to have their enclosure manufactured from or be enclosed by a non-combustible material.
They define within a domestic premises as the interior of a household building and any garage or other outbuildings integral, attached, or in close proximity to that building.
All of C N Controls panels are built with a metal enclosure unless specified otherwise, so will be fully compliant with these new regulations.
