Sweet Squared College Partnership Day

10 August 2016

This July, Sweet Squared held their annual College Partnership event in Leeds. The event gives college tutors a chance to attend an intense, hands-on training event with CND’s elite Education Ambassadors, to refresh their knowledge, skill set and update them on all things CND™.

The two-day intensive course was lead by Fee Wallace, UK Lead Educator and Team CND International Education Ambassador with the support of International Team CND Educator Nataliya Al’Ta-ai and CND Education Ambassadors Sarah Jayne Capper and Andrea Rimmer.

Fee Wallace explains “the college partnership Update Training Event gives Sweet Squared’s education team the opportunity to bring together the college lecturers who use CND products when working with their students in the S2 partner colleges.  As well as updating the tutors on new products and techniques, it’s a chance for them to network and consolidate the family spirit that’s at the heart of everything S2 does.

The update training this year focused on CND’s Enhancement systems; Retention+ L&P and Brisa Gel, with a view to perfecting the skills of the tutors and arming them with confidence and strategies for teaching with these systems effectively.  This was a hard working event, with lots of hands-on time and demos. We loved having this group together, everyone shared from their own experience and we all learned a lot from each other.  I am already planning for next year and can’t wait!”

Lecturers from eight CND colleges across the UK were in attendance, including representatives from Barnsley, Fareham, Inverness, Kirklees, Selby, South Cheshire, Coleg Cambria Deeside and Coleg Cambria Yale.
“As one of only two CND lecturers at our college [Inverness] it’s proven to be invaluable, meeting lecturers from other colleges and sharing tips of the trade. Sweet Squared’s college partnership days allow us to consolidate our info and ensure we’re way ahead of our students. Some of us work in the industry still so we only get to be really hands-on for a limited time“– Ellen Geddes, Lecturer at Inverness College.

The concentrated two-day event gave lecturers a refreshing update to prepare for a fresh crop of students over the coming months and brought together a group of like minded professionals who thoroughly enjoyed their learning experience. Bring on next year!
