Penhaligon's is a premier British brand perfume house. It was founded in the late 1860s by William Henry Penhaligon, a Cornish barber who moved to London and became Court Barber and Perfumer to Queen Victoria.

We understand that signage is a key touchpoint to communicate specific messages to customers through the lens of brand.Over the years we’ve built a reputation as a ‘can do’ company, able to produce functional solutions from a performance specification. In this case, the clients drawing showed the sort of thing they were after, with dimensions and aspirational considerations of materials and finishes.
Tara Signs were tasked with producing design & construction drawings as well as selecting appropriate materials and finishes to reflect Penhaligon’s brand criteria.
The results speak for themselves. The Penhaligon’s sign comprises of a sign box constructed of CZ10 brushed brass finished with a specialist lacquer and a 10mm thick low-iron glass face. Low-iron glass has high-clarity and is made from silica with very low amounts of iron. The low level of iron removes the greenish-blue tint that can be seen especially on larger and thicker sizes of glass. Low-iron glass is used when clarity is desired. The rear of the glass sign face is coated with a white translucent film before the addition of the fret cut lettering to the front.
Tridonic LED’s have been installed inside the sign to create illumination. The finished sign weighed 25kg, our sign fitters requested 2 holes be cut out of the ceiling to allow the sign to be fitted to the concrete joist above.
The sign installation and all of the reparative work was done out of hours and the finished product was in place when the store opened in the morning.
