NEBOSH AND IOSH SUCCESS THROUGH E-LEARNING

03 March 2009

Flexible and cost effective learning routes to NEBOSH and IOSH qualifications.

ACT has an established reputation for the provision of health, safety and environmental training. Our training has impressed many clients and delegates in that we provide quality presentations, make it personal and interesting to delegates from diverse backgrounds and, in the case of professional training to NEBOSH and IOSH standards, achieve excellent pass rates. It can often be difficult to provide training for employees who work flexible hours or have a high workload. ACT have been working hard over the past seven years to address the increasing need for flexible training and thanks to a joint venture with RMS Publishing, are now offering a range of e-learning training solutions. They have become increasingly popular and very successful, the NEBOSH suite of products include General Certificate, Certificate in Construction and National Diploma. If results are anything to go by then students embarking on the e-learning method of training have enjoyed considerable success, with a few "Distinctions" thrown in for good measure. As an alternative to the traditional taught course ACT have been offering the ‘IOSH Managing Safely’ in e-learning format with excellent results. A fantastic, cost effective way of enabling managers that need flexible learning to gain this important award, users are able to start a programme at any time. This 30 hour package assists users in meeting the requirements of the IOSH syllabus and the final assessment can be done in their own workplace. Building on the success of the Managing Safely, ACT is now pleased to offer the ‘Working Safely’ qualification in e-learning format. Aimed at workers from any sector, it provides grounding in the essentials of health and safety. Learning is made up of 6 Parts with ample opportunity to test learning and practice the online final assessment. This 7 hour web based e-learning package will enable employees to gain the IOSH award without leaving their workplace and at a pace that suits them. Final assessment is a friendly multiple choice and hazard spotting scheme. The package is fully interactive, visually engaging and offers an enjoyable method of learning by way of supporting exercises and hazard identification animations.
