A Humidity, Temperature, Dewpoint Transmitter with an integrated display

Status Instruments, the UK’s leading producer of temperature transmitters have announced a brand new programmable humidity / temperature transmitter which also has dewpoint capability.
Status has stolen a march on the competition with the introduction of their new ‘smart cap’ humidity transmitter with an optional integrated 4 digit LED display. The new transmitters are available in single or dual channel versions.
The SEM161 ( Single Channel) and SEM162 ( Dual Channel) are programmed using new USB powered configuration first introduced on the SEM206 series, for super quick user programming. With power coming from the PC’s USB port during programming, you do not even have to wire it up to a power supply to configure it; simply connect the configuration cable.
The unique programming capability, together with Status’s configuration software and internal menu options, allows the user to carry out a simple, yet comprehensive set up routine for the transmitters. The free configuration software will read the product part number and its configuration automatically. To change the configuration just takes seconds; simply type in the configuration you want and click the download Icon
Status have designed their SEM161/162 to constantly measure four input parameters
• Humidity
• Temperature
• Dewpoint
• Delta T (The difference between dewpoint and ambient temperature)
Then, by simple programming, the user can choose which parameter they want to output onto the single or dual channel current loop. Programming also allows the user to scale output ranges to the chosen measured input parameter and programme to read in Deg C or F.
The new SEM161/162 is supplied in Status’ popular SCH4 ASB connection head coupled to a brand new sensor stem design which features a digital plug in sensor and different screw in tip designs including Polycarbonate, Teflon or Sintered Stainless Steel to cope with different environmental conditions.
Available for duct, wall or remote mounting and with programmable temperature, humidity, dewpoint and delta T features, the versatility of these latest Status units allows one unit to meet the majority of requirements and, saves the user a significant amount of set up time and money compared to traditional transmitters.
