Latest innovation in Access Control from Fortessa
10 March 2009
Organisations of all sizes are realising the benefits of replacing their old key- based systems for controlling access to buildings with PC based access control systems.
Besides the lower operating costs, a PC-based system provides easy administration and is a cost effective alternative for when keys are lost as there is no need to replace the locks to maintain security.
New from the AVS Fortessa range is an advanced PC based access control system, (FTPCAC1), offering flexibility and increased security levels, by controlling which parts of the building can be accessed, and by whom.
The computer system can control access on 16 doors for up to 2000 user fobs, cards or sticky dots and will keep a record of who went through which door and at what time.
Each fob, card or sticky dot can be programmed by the administrator to different access levels depending on the individual, controlled centrally via USB or a network interface.
Adding users, barring users and changing users’ access permissions are all done from the PC quickly and easily.
The system comes complete with a lifetime warranty.
