Montessori Nursery in Dulwich, London:
20 October 2017
We visited this nursery and their playground looked tired and uninspiring, the grass was almost non-existent and the children couldn't play in this area all year round. The equipment available was plastic and small.
They wanted a climbing frame that could take a large group of children playing at the same time with different climbing and sliding options so asked for 4 linked towers.
We designed a quadruple infant tower, which was modified from our standard range, to include 2 slides, ramps, rock wall, ladder and 3 bridges. All towers were requested to have a 90cm platform height, so ideal for nursery children to be challenged safely.
To finish the area, we added artificial grass with a shock absorption pad underneath to make it adequate for the critical fall height required by the towers.
The playground now looks inviting, fun and can be used all year round. It is a major feature in the nursery setting, ideal to attract new prospective parents, enhancing the play environment for the little ones.
