Terms and Conditions
Terms & Conditions1. Course Fees All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT – which is charged at the current rate.
2. Bookings Operator Training Services Ltd (OTS), will only accept customer’s booking instruction by email, confirmation letter, or an official company purchase order.
3. Payment 7 days prior to training date either via debit/credit card, cheque or a BACS/Bank Transfer. Late bookings, via card, BACS/Bank Transfer only.
4. Cancellations A cancellation fee of 50% of the course fee will be applicable on courses cancelled up to 7 working days before course commencement. No refund can be given for any cancellations or re-scheduled courses received after that date. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing/email.
5. Administration Charges If there is a requirement to re-schedule any training course(s) after OTS has issued full joining instructions, and before 7 days ahead of training a £15.00 admin fee will apply for each delegate. There will be no charge for a straightforward name change.

7. ID Cards and Certificates Will only be despatched upon successful completion of theory and/or practical training and full payment of account has been received.
these will be sent to the Company contact only. OTS will only post cards & certificates to a different address is we have received details in writing and agreed by the company contact.
8. On-site Training Can only be carried out if a suitable office/training room is available (OTS supply all course literature and display/projection equipment). The plant equipment supplied by the customer for the practical session, on IPAF &/or PASMA courses, must be regularly maintained and have its own operators’ manual and have proof of any mandatory inspection/examination certificates. Failure to comply will result in the course being aborted and then the minimum day fee would apply. N.B. All Aluminium Towers supplied by customers need to satisfy PASMA training requirements. i.e. “Advanced Guard Rail” (AGR) and “Through the Trap” (3T). Approved methods of assembly and dismantling need to be demonstrated during the practical session. If you require any assistance on this issue, a member of OTS staff will be please to assist you on 01233 721300. Please be aware that failure to have the two systems available, could lead to the practical session of the course being postponed. There must be sufficient inside practical test area (in case of inclement weather) to be able to erect a tower of 4.2m platform height? See ‘Pre On-Site’ form.
9. Delegate Numbers To run a financially viable course, OTS requires a minimum number of delegates per course. In the case of insufficient delegates per course, OTS will postpone the course and run it at a later date. However this will be no longer than 4 weeks ahead. There will be no financial loss to our customer(s). Any money paid prior to the course will be carried over. 10. Trainee Specification It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all trainees are physically fit and sufficiently mentally equipped to operate the course equipment safely and are able to recognise their limitations and any dangers. It is necessary for trainees to be able to read and understand the course material/instructions which are in English. If you are unsure of your candidates’ abilities in these subjects, please contact us for further guidance.
11. Delegate Letter OTS have attached a ‘Delegate Letter’ to the joining instructions email. This is to be passed onto your operative prior to their training day. The letter outlines details of course type, date of training and what to bring with them, refreshments and timings. A contact number has been included in case they have any questions about the training prior to the start of their course.
12. Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) OTS are members of the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). If you are also a member and wish to make a claim for any training which has been carried out by OTS on your behalf, please make us aware at the time of booking. It is possible to make a claim for any of the IPAF, PASMA & Ladder Association courses. OTS will be happy to upload your/your operatives’ details onto the CITB system to enable you to make your claim. The person booking with OTS must also make their company official(s) aware the training has been booked to enable them to make the claim. Disclaimer OTS reserve the right to make any appropriate changes to course dates and fees as necessary.
