Handheld radios serviced or repaired

Since many establishments in the education, Leisure, Events and on-trade sector are closed or operating a much reduced service, I thought the following maybe appropriate.
While COVID-19 has caused the closure or scaling down of operations in the above industries, it may be a good time to get your handheld radios serviced or repaired. To this end I am offering a reduced fee service for walkie talkie radios.
This will involve the dis-assembly of the radio, inspection for liquid ingress, poor solder joints, loose mechanical switches and controls, re-assembly, testing/alignment and cleaning. Any liquid ingress will be treated with the normal safe chemical that I use. The price per radio will only be £9.00 per radio and return shipping is £8.75 per UK mainland consignment. (Up to 20KG) Other areas can contact me for a shipping price.
Like wise if you have some radios lying around that are in need of repair I am offering a 15% discount off the price list on the website. (See link below)
- Radios sent in for servicing must be in working order.
- Please do not send batteries, antennas or charging equipment.
- Where aerials are removable (licensed radios) please remove and hold at your site.

- Repairs cover electronic components and labour.
- Control knobs, aerial sockets, housings, incur a further charge.
- Before any additional work is carried out which will incur a further charge, you will be contacted with an estimate.
- This is a fixed price, postal repair service.
- If you are close enough you may drop equipment off downstairs at the reception. (See repair form below for address)
