COVID and Data Protection
19 July 2020
The rapidly changing landscape of “how we work” has changed, in some cases for good.
For example, two of our clients have decided they no longer need over 50% of their sites when people can be just as effective form home. The opportunity for them includes a wider resource pool No need to pay a London salary if the skills live elsewhere in the UK and Europe. Working on COVID testing for some NHS trusts as we have, it is becoming clear the role of technology will play a major part as industries and communities adjust to the changes. I live in North Cornwall and the rapid scale of change has been felt, not just from the virus which has affected us on a limited basis but the knock on effect. Tourism is key lives depend on it. I am encouraging clients who rely on good people to do important work to look at the changing dynamics and support them by rethinking their recruitment polices, working practices and security requirements that help enable this paradigm shift.Supporting the Charity Sector
MoJoU support over 10,000 charity sites across the world. Some of that work is done for free and other works is paid for but all receive free consultation at some point. MoJoU is passionate about the charity sector, supporting The Church of England, The Salvation Army, The Scouts, Tearfund, The Catholic Church as well as others. Looking at GDPR compliance, PCI-DSS (Card Payments) from the point of view of supporting them and enabling them to focus on those they want to support.
MoJoU is keen to hear from you as a Charity if you would like support on Data Protection in light of COVID. For example, one organisation is losing £350k per month because attendance has plummeted due to lockdown. They realise that “back to normal” is unlikely so they are looking to technology to help, and that involves their need for professional advice
