New access hatch for tight budgets in competitive market

MR Site Services has just introduced Quantum Eco, a low cost, low profile access hatch designed for projects with very tight budgets.

Given the increasingly competitive conditions in the building and construction market, the launch of Quantum Eco is timely and has meant the product has already seen its first installation at Debs Ltd in Denby, specified by Keyclad.

Keyclads' construction manager Colin Thomasson said;

“The cost-effective price of Quantum Eco was acceptable to all parties and therefore provided the ideal solution for the project, which had a tight budget. We were happy with the quality of the product as well and having used MR Site Services on other projects, we were confident the installation would be good too.”

Quantum Eco provides a quick, easy and safe method for inspection and routine maintenance of all roof mounted equipment, machinery and services. It is constructed from a fully welded 1.2mm stucco embossed aluminium outer lid with 2mm aluminium inner skin and 2mm base frame, with specially designed heavy-duty hinges and gas assisted strut for ease of opening.

The hatch is lightweight and can be mounted onto all types of roof. It can also be fixed to previously installed kerb upstands and to welded aluminium soakers with fully insulated aluminium upstands. Where welded joints are impractical, it can also be installed into a steel roof or similar using MR Site Services’ Roll-a-Flex fully reinforced liquid waterproofing seal system.

Quantum Eco is available in a standard size of 900 x 900mm and is available from stock with delivery in 48 hours. It can be supplied mill-finished, powder coated to match BS/RAL specifications or painted using the PPG Duranar ADS paint system which exceeds the durability and colour retention criteria of AAMA no 2605.

All Quantum Eco access hatches are fitted with rubber inner seals for water and draught proofing and 25mm thick rigid insulation to provide thermal insulation against condensation and heat loss.
