CEM releases AC2000 SE (Standard Edition) Version 6
20 November 2009
CEM Systems, a Tyco International company, today announced the release of Version 6 (v6) of its core CEM AC2000 SE (Standard Edition) security management system.
AC2000 SE is now available with new features that increase the performance, functionality and scope of the system including a new look and feel to user applications, increased DVR/CCTV support and a system API (Application Programming Interface) for 3rd party integration.CEM AC2000 SE is an advanced security management system that is ideal for medium to large scale sites. Offering advanced and fully integrated access control, AC2000 SE has been successfully installed all over the world in facilities such as schools, hospitals, petrochemical plants and financial institutions among others.
Andrew Fulton, Business Development Director for CEM Systems said;
“AC2000 SE v6 significantly enhances the user experience and demonstrates our commitment to listening to our customer requirements. To meet customer needs we have increased our DVR, Intruder Panel and CCTV support for the IndigoVision range and have developed a new ‘Maintenance Mode’ for customers to prioritise alarms. When a reader is in ‘Maintenance Mode’, any alarms sent to the AC2000 SE system will be tagged as maintenance alarms. AC2000 SE can then filter them out until the maintenance work has finished, enabling system administrators to focus on higher priority alarms".
There are a host of new features available with AC2000 SE v6 including:
• Microsoft .Net Release – many applications are updated under the .Net platform giving powerful user interface design tools allowing for a more flexible, user friendly, and productive user experience. The new AC2000 Floatbar features a docking option, favourites, application(s) auto-start, and choice of colour schemes (blue, black, green).
• Increased Reader Capacity – A single AC2000 SE CDC Server can now support up to 65,000 doors (or 130,000 readers In/Out).
• API – A CEM ‘Application Programming Interface’ allows 3rd party developers to create their own interfaces to the AC2000 SE system.
• CEM XML interface – allows for 3rd party data import, e.g. personnel/cardholder details from a customer’s HR system.
• Increased Intruder Panel Support – now supporting Honeywell Galaxy Dimension.
• Increased DVR Support – In addition to the complete American Dynamics range, AC2000 SE now supports integration with IndigoVision. This provides powerful features such as live camera call-up and playback of recorded alarm footage. The AC2000 SE external systems interface has also been enhanced to support the BOSCH VIDOS system, allowing for any alarm to be associated with recorded footage.
• DVR/CCTV Rework – Improved configuration with new intuitive user interface. Completely redesigned live camera viewer with PTZ (Pan, Tilt & Zoom) video search, and much more.Systens
