QC’s 5 tips to keep commercial floors clean
29 January 2024
If you’re unsure how to protect your commercial flooring and keep it clean, Buckinghamshire’s QC Commercial Flooring have the answers.
Use professional cleanersOne of the best and most hassle free ways of keeping your commercial flooring looking pristine is to hire a professional cleaner. It’s the ideal solution for busy companies. It’s especially important for flooring such as hardwood where professional cleaners will know exactly what to do and provide top quality cleaning.
Vacuum
Even having a professional cleaner, you should vacuum in between visits. Dust may seem completely harmless to you, but it can do some serious damage to your floors, it can scratch wooden floors and cling to the fibres of carpets. Vacuuming also helps to remove allergens from the workplace.
Use the correct tools for the job
Not all commercial floors are the same. For example you’d use different tools and cleaning agents for carpets as you would for laminate or hardwood flooring.
Laminate flooring should never be cleaned with a wet mop as it may cause the finish to lift and peel. Carpet tiles need a strong suction hoover with the correct attachments.
Protective mats
One of the best ways to protect your commercial floors is by using protective mats. These are commonly used at entrances to help prevent dirt and debris getting in from outside and are highly effective at keeping your floor clean.
Don’t move heavy furniture on your own
Rearranging furniture and simply dragging desks can damage the flooring you've invested in. Protect your investment, use two people or even dismantle things that are too big to carry.
It’s not always easy to maintain the cleanliness of your commercial floors. But, with these 5 simple tips for keeping your flooring looking great, you'll be 5 steps closer.
