Start 2024 with an Upgrade: The v2.1 Release of SignalCalc 900 Series Software
15 March 2024
We’ve been working hard to create even more features, advancements, and enhancements – designed to improve your test and measurement performance.
Here’s a brief overview of what's new:
General Enhancements
- Trace Color Management adds the ability to auto-assign trace colors based on channel number or type
- Save a screenshot on test end automatically
- Improvements to searching, and general improvements when using a shared database
- The Data Server can be run on a different network than the 900 Hardware. This allows a centralized Data Server on a company network, and the 900 Chassis on an isolated network, with the host PC connected to both
- Merge Databases – The ability to move all tests/runs from one Data Server to another has been added
- REST interface has been expanded significantly to allow changing test/output level, creating new tests, getting a list of existing tests, and more
- Automation Scripting Language allows the creation of complex automation scripts in a text editor to control SignalCalc 900 or external devices/programs
- Math equations (Math Channels) can be applied to multiple channels simultaneously (e.g. apply the same filter to all input channels)
- Increased responsiveness of the GUI after a test has been run for several hours/days
- An output waveform’s parameters can be changed live during a test (e.g., changing frequency or amplitude of a sine wave)
- A Time History Recording’s channel table can be linked to the primary measurement
- Several enhancements to Stepped Sine
- A Time History Recording’s Stop condition can be linked to the primary measurement (e.g. Stop when the Controller stops)
- Recordings can be imported from Matlab data files
- Synthesized octave data can be exported through the automated export functions
- Ability to import DP700 Sine, Random, or Shock tests from SignalStar Scalar/Vector into SignalCalc 900
- Ability to Limit in a Mixed Mode test (limiting on Random PSD)
- Several improvements to SRS Synthesis and Control
- Higher block size in Shock/SRS
- Resonance Dwell data (e.g., dwell level over the test) can be displayed with cycles on the X-axis instead of time
- Multiple dwells for each resonance identified in a resonance sweep can be defined in a Resonance Search and Dwell test
- External devices can be triggered at very precise times during a Sine/Random/Shock test (e.g., trigger a high-speed camera)
- Ability to apply a high pass filter to an imported Classical Shock pulse
...plus many more improvements!
