As you can see from the before photos, the orginal felt had completely perished and dropped down behind the fascia.
This means that any moisture getting past the tiles would run down the felt and straight into the back on the wooden fascia and into the eaves.
This will cause potentially a few different issues:
- Rotting of wooden fascia / rafters
- Damp internally around ceiling line
- Orange water staining externally
Eaves trays Bridge that cap between roof and gutter once again, making it water tight and allowing your gutter system to work properly once again. Hopefully avoiding any further Damp, staining or having to replace any wood 💰.Â
