Focus SB celebrate 25 years in style

For six St Leonards locals, 1984 saw the start of their new jobs at the Napier Road based electrical accessories manufacturer Sussex Brassware.
When Sussex Brassware started back in 1984, the miners strike was in full swing, the pound note was fazed out and Virgin Atlantic had its inaugural flight. Focus SB was formed in 2001 from the merger of Sussex Brassware and Focus Electrical Ltd.Sales Manager for London, South East England and South, Barry Partridge, fondly remembers the day he reminded Managing Director, Roger Kemp of his dedicated years of service:
“Around the time the big 25 was due, I dug out a copy of my original contract of employment and left it on Rogers' desk with a note asking him where the time had gone. Not expecting much other than a cheeky reply, Roger very kindly booked my wife and I into the Chewton Glen Hotel and Spa to be pampered for the weekend.”
Each year, all six members of the club are given an allowance to treat themselves to a bit of a jolly, some opt for an extra days holiday as Roger Kemp says:
“We are a very close knit company and I am extremely grateful to all my employees, but especially those who have put up with me for so long. It is a great sign of how dedicated these six are that they are still as passionate about our products and our vision some 25 years later.”
