Strada – keeping you on the right side of the law!

Daniel Putnins knows a thing or two about al fresco catering. He is a director of Strada, a British company with vast experience in textiles, engineering, design and print and a manufacturing facility in the UK.
They offer bespoke café barrier systems and have been helping caterers to extend their trading areas by incorporating outdoor terraces for many years. The Strada system, featuring tapping rails and low profile bases, has a patented design developed to meet Local Council specifications and comply with both current DDA legislation and Manual Lifting Regulations. “Anyone who has applied for Planning permission for an outside licensed catering area will tell you - it can be a nightmare. The requirements are not always clear and seem dependant on Planning Officers' interpretation. Details are constantly changing and vary according to location. Richmond, for example, insists on chrome or stainless posts,” said Daniel. “It costs £200 to apply for a licence with no guarantee of getting it. Then it can take up to four weeks if you need to re-apply and cost a further £200 plus the loss of income for that period. The whole process can be extremely costly in time and money.” You are in safe hands with Strada, however, because they make sure that your café barrier installation will be acceptable to the Planning Officer. “We can submit plans and material specification sheets to planning officers as a free service,” Daniel stated. “And our system is infinitely configurable and fully compliant - but even this is not always enough. Recently we installed a system to a customer's own specification only to find that it encroached onto land designated as necessary for deliveries. Even though the measurements were provided to us, we took one barrier back to the factory and cut it to size, at no extra cost. Our customer was especially grateful as this ensured planning permission was granted right away!” You can't afford to take risks with your business so talk to Strada. Their café barrier products will keep you on the right side of the law!Other Press Releases By This Company
