Red Rhino Crushers have been selected as a finalist for the Green Apple Environmental Awards - results to be announced in November.
Red Rhino Crushers have been selected as a finalist for the Green Apple Environmental Awards – one of the few accredited feeder schemes into the international campaign. Results will be announced at a ceremony held at the House of Commons in November and top winners will have the chance to represent the UK in the European Business Awards in Brussels. Red Rhino will also be invited to join the National Green Heroes, an elite of environmental achievers who use their experience to help thousands of others – and the environment – around the world. The Green Apple Awards are organized by The Green Organisation who is an independent, non-political, non-activist, non-profit environment group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world by supporting the work of other environmental groups. The awards are now in their fourteenth year and attracted more than 500 nominations this year. The Green Organisation is funded by membership and sponsorship, with valuable support from the Environment Agency, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management, the Municipal Journal and several other professional bodies.
