Sports Facility Construction - Exhibition and Seminars

Sports Facility Construction is a special one-day event that combines a series of informative and educational seminars with an exhibition featuring the leading constructors of sports facilities, suppliers of related products and services, and professional consultants offering expert advice on sports facility projects.

Attendance is free-of-charge and open to all those involved in the design, procurement, construction and maintenance of sports facilities, and will be of value to local authorities, sports clubs, schools and colleges, architects and specifiers, sports bodies and the construction industry.

The event is supported by Sport England. The seminar programme covers a wide range of topics, for both indoor and outdoor sports, using synthetic and natural sports surfaces. Sessions on facilities for football, rugby and tennis which will be led by The Football Association, The Rugby Football Union and The Lawn Tennis Association. The London Playing Fields Foundation will present guidance on maximising the usage of playing fields.

The programme has been developed in cooperation with the RIBA – a number of sessions are specifically aimed at architects and other building professionals involved in sports projects. There will also be a special presentation on the development of sports facilities for London 2012.
