Why Woodland Grange? Why are we seeing record numbers of delegates – at home and overseas – opting for training with us?
There are several obvious reasons. We have a uniquely comprehensive range of programmes, delivered by highly qualified tutors who, very importantly, have real hands on experience of health and safety in practice. We continue to develop that range to reflect new demands -- one of our latest innovations being the availability of a remarkably effective e-learning option for two of the UK’s most popular courses.
Another reason is our exceptional ability, through our specialist CMTC division, to deliver training precisely where our customers need it, and where necessary to tune it precisely to their operating environment and organisational strategy. Then there are the results we achieve. We continue to have an impressive record of success, with pass rates significantly above the national average in the key qualifications, and an outstanding record of effective overseas training, testimony to the priority we place on adapting our methods and materials to reflect local culture and practice. And there’s the fact that here at Woodland Grange we have, quite simply, the most complete health safety and environmental learning facility. As you may know, in 2006 we completed a £5 million development programme not only to increase capacity to meet demand, but to provide a genuinely sector leading learning environment. For all those reasons, Woodland Grange goes from strength to strength. But at the same time, we like to think that our dramatic progress is due to something more. How would we define it? It’s to do with the fact that the people we train understand how close we are to the sector. We don’t deliver training by routine; we help our delegates to live it, just like we do. And you can only achieve that by being at the heart of the industry. An illustration of our place in the health and safety business is the success of our initiative to be the first specialist provider to be offer the opportunity to progress right from unqualified status to post graduate degree and Masters levels. We only introduced it in 2006, but already we are seeing a significant response – another indicator that people regard us as a genuine home of HS&E learning. And one more factor.
