Raising Safety Standards for users of Low Level Access
26 May 2011
At the heart of Turner Access’ operation is a commitment to safety through product innovation and provision of appropriate training. Turner’s range of low level access equipment is manufactured to the highest standards of quality in its BS EN ISO 9001:2008 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007 accredited manufacturing facility.
Turner’s range of low level products includes the award wining Deltadeck. Safe, versatile and adaptable to many applications, the Deltadeck is one complete unit, easily transported and assembled within a minute, making it an ideal access solution for the hire industry.Other products complimenting Turner’s low level range include the Sigmadeck folding tower, the Alphastep podium step and the Omegadeck bridging platform.
The overriding principle of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 is that an employer must do all that is reasonably practicable to prevent anyone falling from height.
This involves not only the selection of the most suitable equipment but also training to ensure safe use. As well as offering Low Level Access Training under the PASMA curriculum, Turner Access also offers additional, specific and appropriate manufacturer’s training.
This training will include written and practical assessment. All delegates will receive a certificate of competence upon successful completion. Turner’s Low Level Access Training courses include everything from the Work at Height Regulations to safe use of equipment, inspection, care and maintenance.
