New Automatic Control Panel by Parking Facilities
14 July 2011
A NEW automatic control panel that simplifies installation to push button status is being introduced by one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of access control equipment.
Parking Facilities have spent the last six months developing the panel in collaboration with a European company. It eliminates the need for specialist ‘hook up’ of equipment with the activated panel offering push button alternatives for all the company’s products. ‘Effectively, it means that a contractor only needs to push one button and the gate, barrier or whatever, installs itself. It’s that simple,’ said managing director Anthony Green.
Previously, the Midlands based company had built its own control boxes, but opted to outsource the production to a specialist software group. ‘This meant that we could look at higher specification and greater degrees of sophistication,’ said Green, ‘and that in turn meant that we could make it simpler for the installer.’
Once powered the control panel offers product options with clear touch screen selections.
‘Once selected, the control panel makes all the adjustments and necessary analysis to make the product fully operational. It is one of the easiest systems around. We used the same panel for all products and it is only a case of product selection.
‘The panel was debuted at IFSEC, winning a great deal of attention.’
It is one of a number of priority developments to be made by Parking Facilities, including a new boom design for its barriers and the introduction of safety edges on almost all its products as standard.
‘We are all more aware than ever of the need to make sure access
