Sprinkler System Water Tank Refurbishment

Environmental Fabrications complete the refurbishment of its latest sprinkler water tank project.
Around 3 years ago Environmental Fabrications were approached by Skymark Packaging Ltd, and were asked to inspect one of its sprinkler water tanks. On inspection it was noted that a number of rust blisters were present on the water tanks internal surfaces, and a number of these blisters had actually perforated the (water tank) walls. We were asked if we could come up with a solution to the problem along with a system to prevent any further corrosion. Our solution was to manually clean and de-rust the interal surfaces and carry out fibreglass repairs to all the water tanks corroded areas.
On completion of the repairs, a 3 coat epoxy coating was applied to all the water tanks internal surfaces. The purpose of this coating was to prevent any further corrosion an allow us to issue a 10 year guarantee, covering any further (water tank) issues.
Over the last 3 years, Environmental Fabrications have now completed over 50 sprinkler tank refurbishment projects. There are numerous sprinkler tanks in poor condition throughout the UK, and with insurance companies now taking this problem seriously. We estimate over the next 3 years, sprinkler tank refurbishment will become our core business, taking over from our Polypropylene Lining System.
