When John Thompson, of The Edinburgh Tea and Coffee Company, was looking for a flexible and cost effective business card system he found Promaxx cards, from Denny Bros, gave the perfect solution.
The Edinburgh Tea and Coffee Company was formed as a management buy-out of Melroses roast and ground coffee from Premier Brands in 1991. Since then, Edinburgh Tea and Coffee have progressed from a small local roaster to a modern tea and coffee company. A recent move to a new manufacturing site has allowed traditional skills of coffee roasting and tea blending to be complemented by modern food manufacturing techniques. Explains John Thompson: “Edinburgh Tea and Coffee Company’s products are roasted and blended to order for the retail, export and food service sectors and as such we have a wide and varied customer base. This sets a requirement for fully customisable business cards as the management and sales team have a wide range of information they need to pass on to customers, clients and business contacts. “The Promaxx system allows us to set up different templates so each member of staff can adapt the business cards to suit their own individual needs. Print runs are small and flexible, allowing us to reduce spend on business cards by both volume costs and plate changes.”
Promaxx supply the cards pre-printed with the Edinburgh Tea and Coffee logo and address details. Each member of staff then personalises the card with their name, position, email address and alternative telephone number. The card can even be customised for the specific buyer it will be given to by adapting the telephone number to read as an international line. The Promaxx system is cost effective and easy to use. Comments Thompson: “Once the initial template was set up with the correct position and font size it was easy to transfer this information to all the templates. The sales and support team have always been helpful too.”
