About us

With over 30 years’ collective experience in the arboriculture sector, Wassels Arboricultural Services are a family-run business operating throughout the entirety of the London area. 

Over the years, we have provided expert service in all areas of tree surgery including tree removal, tree pruning, tree cutting, stump grinding, tree surveys and reports, commercial enquiries and seasonal pruning.  We are located in Central London and are fully committed to our work, ensuring that clients receive the best possible service from our team of knowledgeable and experienced professionals.

Some of our commercial enquiries cover property and estate management as well as construction.  The services we provide within these sectors include tree maintenance contracts, stump grinding, tree surveys, tree planting, tree removal, emergency call-out, tree hazard assessments, site clearance of trees and vegetation, site specific arboricultural method statements, access facilitation pruning, protection and pruning of retained trees and more.  When it comes to seasonal pruning, our company can do apple, pear, plum, cherry and walnut trees.

Over the years, we have gained an impressive clientele of some of the UK’s most established brands, including but not limited to Willmott Dixon Construction, Natural History Museum, Interserve, British Airways, CBRE and Conway.  We offer a detailed quote and inspection service and have dealt with hundreds of planning applications and tree surveys since establishment.

    An unusual and inventive project housing the traditional elements of a Russian ‘Banya’ - including sauna, bucket shower, and plunge pool – as well as a garden studio, set within a woodland location in Hampstead. A collaboration with interior designers Black and Milk.

We needed to have a cypress and a magnolia trimmed carefully as they were getting too big for our small garden. We had a few estimates but when Andrew came to see the work that needed to be done, we were really impressed by his expertise, understanding and love of trees and nature. His team did the work and they were excellent and cleaned up after themselves. We can't believe how fantastic the garden looks now. They were also reasonable.We totally recommend Wassells.

The Wassells team did an amazing job in pruning a nightmare Sycamore tree in our back garden that spread over 3 neighboring gardens in London. The team worked tirelessly from dawn to dusk and left the garden cleaner than it started!
